When Pei Yuhuai and Lin Mian arrived at the old mansion, the elderly lady had already received the news early in the morning.

To prevent his family from doing anything that might make Lin Mian uncomfortable, Pei Yuhuai had informed them in the afternoon.

This was his way of showing respect for Lin Mian and also to prepare his family mentally.

So when they returned to the old mansion, the elderly lady and gentleman were already waiting at home.

The two elders had tidied up a bit and had the family prepare a lavish dinner.

Lin Mian was extremely nervous, cautiously following behind Pei Yuhuai, holding gifts for Pei’s elders in his arms.

Although Mr. Pei had mentioned that his elders were very amiable, seeing the luxurious mansion that resembled a small castle, Lin Mian couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly nervous.

The elderly gentleman also received a gift, but he didn’t care much about it either.

He had already asked Secretary Zhang and knew that the child came from an ordinary family. The gift looked expensive, probably prepared by his youngest son, so he wasn’t interested in it.

He glanced at Lin Mian indifferently, then signaled Pei Yuhuai to follow him to the study.

“Mr. Pei, be good, we’ll behave today. If Mr. Pei really wants to, I can compensate you tomorrow.”

“Pretty dresses!”

Last time Mr. Pei had made Lin Mian wear one, so Lin Mian thought Mr. Pei liked them. Today, he had rejected Mr. Pei once, so to make it up to him, he had to sacrifice himself.

Pei Yuhuai nodded, “Alright, tomorrow night before you leave, wear it nicely for me.”

Lin Mian was leaving tomorrow, so wearing it for Mr. Pei before leaving was a good idea. That way, he would look beautiful, and Mr. Pei would miss him and soon be drawn back to him.

He was just the mall’s owner, not the owner of all the stores.

Lin Mian picked nearly ten sets of clothes, then Pei Yuhuai picked another ten for him.

After choosing clothes, Lin Mian started selecting shoes.

While trying on shoes, a salesperson recognized Pei Yuhuai and, upon learning about his relationship with Lin Mian, secretly took a photo when no one was looking.

After Pei Yuhuai and Lin Mian left, the store manager immediately came over and confronted him.

The manager angrily said, “Are you crazy? Whose photo do you dare to take?”

The salesperson looked aggrieved, “I just thought he looked good, took a photo to look at, I didn’t plan to upload it online.”

“That’s not acceptable either, President Pei specifically closed the mall to keep their relationship private. If you don’t want to work here anymore, quit and leave, I still want this job.”

After saying this, the manager took his phone and deleted the photo.
